Hannah Richardson: I am a womenswear designer and illustrator who lives in Hertfordshire, England. My design philosophy is to create contemporary and sophisticated clothes for women aged 18 to 30. Finishings, fastenings and embellishments are key features in all my designs. A keen eye for fabric and colour and I particularly like working with leather. Clothes that give a feeling for female empowerment and beauty mixed with subtle prints and rich details. Garments that can be worn anywhere and to any occasion, which never grow old. Through research and fabric manipulation, my work is edgy and sometimes dark and I like to push the boundaries. I look to a variety of places for inspiration, but tend to focus on other artists' work as a starting point for colour and fabric, be it photography, architecture or sculpture.
